RON AND MINNIE POWELL
have been together as a couple for thirty years, and have been singing as
a duo for almost twenty years. Ron’s musical experience covers genres from
bluegrass to blues, folk, and original material. Minnie Powell, an
Appalachian Mountain native, grew up listening to music performed by
legends such as Patsy Cline, Johnny Horton, Hank Williams, and Johnny
Cash. Ron’s mellow acoustic guitar and harmonica, accompanied by Minnie’s
rhythm guitar, percussion, and occasional mandolin, enhance their solid
vocal performances.

BRANDON BAILEY
who left the recording industry in Columbia, South Carolina for a cooler
mountain climate, is an exceptional guitarist and keyboard player. He
contributes to song arrangement and has a great ear for the way a song
should sound. He also sings harmony vocals and occasionally plays
mandolin.

SERGIO CASSANEGO
a Brazilian born percussionist, has been in the mountains of Western North
Carolina for more than ten years. His djiembe drum and bells adds balance
to the music and keeps everything in time. Sergio is an avid fan of all
types of music and constantly brings new songs to the attention of the
rest of the band.

ANTHONY HENSLEY
has been with the Lucky Streak Band for over a year. He has been performing music for more
than twenty years. A Western North Carolina native, his musical roots
began in gospel performance but soon extended into solid country and
bluegrass. Whether he is playing guitar, banjo, or dobro, or adding
harmony vocals, Anthony is a great lead man to have around.
B. J.
WYATT
who currently plays bass with the band has been performing
professionally since his early teenage years. His feel for the
music and great technique gives the bottom end that all the
other sounds float on.
